Moronis River

Moronis Reserve and Souda Bay (incorporating the Moronis River) is an ecologically significant wetland and riparian habitat situated on the western outskirts of Chania near Souda Bay. Flowing from the inland hills down toward the coast, the river forms a protected natural ecosystem characterized by reeds, freshwater springs, and rich birdlife, serving as an important green corridor and wildlife refuge close to the urban edge of Chania.
