Description
Marmara Cave is a natural cave in the Sfakia area of southern Chania, set within the dramatic limestone landscape for which this part of Crete is famous. The surrounding terrain is characterised by steep mountains, rocky coastal formations and extensive karst geology created by the long-term action of water on limestone. The cave is a relatively undeveloped natural attraction rather than an organised show cave and is best suited to visitors interested in the wild geological landscapes of southern Crete.
