The Omalos Plateau is a highland plain at an elevation of approximately 1,050–1,100 metres in the White Mountains (Lefka Ori) in the Chania region of Crete. Surrounded by impressive mountain peaks, it is known for its stunning natural scenery and as a starting point for hikes to Samaria Gorge.
